As a lwayer myself, I understand how challenging it can be to build a social network when you’re new to the country, especially in a city like Perth where the legal community might feel smaller or less visible. There aren't any large formal legal networking events regularly, so I’d suggest exploring broader professional groups like local business clubs, industry meetups, or even community organizations where people in that age group gather. Perth’s coworking spaces or workshops attract diverse professionals too, and that can be great for mingling beyond just law. Also, consider joining hobby or interest-based groups. That can be an excellent way to meet like-minded people outside work circles and build genuine friendships over time.
Honestly just aim to find people you tolerate at first, keep.an open mind,,. Australians are not the friendliest bunch.
