I’m a newish Partner in a mid-sized firm. We have had different comp approaches (global pool, 70-30, 50-50 global /region) over the years. I learned that over the last 10-12 years the Americas have always been a contributor, Europe always a recipient, other regions mixed. It’s like $200k per NA partner a year, and we are now talking about reverting back to a global pool, meaning $400k+ yearly subsidies.

Is this level the norm in other firms? Any other firms have a wallet-suck region?

I currently make 79 base + bonus and i was managed to raise up the offer to 75k base plus commission after asking for 85k since they told me they can’t do it. Do you think I should take the offer? I’ve worked at Allstate for 4 years as a fast track inside property claims adjuster. When I was brought on, I made $48,000. Now, I make $62,800. Recently, I was offered a role as a coordinated adjuster for $65,800. I heard that the new hires were being paid a much more competitive salary. Would you say this amount is on par with what I should accept?
