I recently applied to a job offer that was significantly lower than what I wanted. This is one of my dream jobs but the pay isn’t what I wanted it to be. I negotiated the offer and it’s still not the number I wanted. Would you negotiate again or accept the offer?

I wouldn't negotiate again. You already tried once and didn't get there. At this point, it's take it or leave it, or at least that's how it sounds. The question is whether the experience and the role are worth the pay cut, and only you can answer that.

I decided not to renegotiate and declined the job offer. The position pay was too low for my living habits and I need to be able to sustain my current living standards. Thankfully, I have another job offer that I might be taking.

If you try to negotiate again, you are almost guaranteed to lose the job offer. Do you have any other options for work? If you are choosing between no income and a small income from your dream job, obviously take the dream job. You can keep job hunting, and now that you will have the new title you might find it easier to get another great job at a more reasonable salary.

I decided not to renegotiate and declined the job offer which I’m sad about but the pay is the biggest reason I want to work for that company. There are plenty of my jobs that pay well and I want settle until I get right job for me.

That’s always a tough spot! I’d weigh how much this job means to you versus your financial needs. If it’s a dream role and you can make it work, sometimes accepting is worth it, but if the pay gap is too big, another round of negotiation (or walking away) might be the smarter move.
