Question for BCGer: I am not clear about how to compare promotion timelines with McK/Bain.

My understanding of the promotion timeline is the following:

Consultant to PL -> 21 (if you were an A at BCG) to 30 months

PL to Principal -> Minimum 45 months of tenure as a C+PL

Principal to Partner -> 21 months of Principal tenure, but can only promote in Jan or May (?)

Partner to MDP -> Absolutely no clue how this works

So, I've been thinking alot and did quite some research but would really love some insight (Accounting vs Fund Accountant)
As a newbie to accounting (completed my graduation and am currently halfway through ACCA), I've worked 3 years in accounting and account operations (AR, AP, Reconciliations, accruals, prepayments etc) and wanted to check out the other side of the coin in Finance.

I recently came across a role of Fund Accountant and wanted to really know what the day to day work looks like

I was on the course with my mentor this week for a business related event. All the men continually thought we were the cart girls and asked us to fetch them things despite being in a regular golf cart and wearing our (not beverage or course) company polos. Part of me wants to just say “it was hot anyone could make that mistake!” But part of me also feels like it was sexist and, based on prior experiences, it’s hard not to feel that way. Thoughts on and advice for these situations?

What's your favorite course you've ever played?

Looking to replace almost my full set of clubs. Bought my current set off the shelf about 10 years ago. Played over 200 rounds with them, they’re great. But I think I’ve outgrown them. Any advice on getting fitted for clubs? Not too worried about the budget, more interested in getting it right for my game.

I started learning last summer (right after graduating from college). I am self-taught and I usually get a round in once a week. I never play with others as I have no golf buddies and I am pretty scared to join strangers as I still am pretty early in the learning phase. I can break 90 consistently but never got below 82. Any suggestions on finding golf buddies to make my rounds more fun?

Anyone read "Every shot counts"? Written by a CBS professor who focuses on financial / portfolio optimization. The book focuses on golf analytics (e.g. strokes gained, and what makes golfer A > golfer B). Started reading it yesterday and it's great so far!

Also open to other books - read "Paper Tiger", which is about an amateur trying to go pro in a year - finished bottom of Q school :(.

Hi everyone, more less new to the US - living in the DC area. Handicap 10. Any suggestions on how to find a foursome, golf buddies? Really trying to get back into regular playing rhythm (I.e. one or twice on the weekends) but in need of gold buddies.

I won rights to buy tickets to the Ryder Cup in Rome! Trying to find some courses to play out there, open for any suggestions!

Winter is such a drain on my golf game. Simulator golf just isn't the same. I feel like I'm in a tiny box swinging.
