Can anyone provide a good office chair recommendation? Looking to spend somewhere between $200-$300, but willing to look into pricier options if it is really worth it!

I bought the Staples Osgood executive chair for $100 (without sale it's maybe $150)

I've been using it for 1-2 months. It was very easy to put together. It came nicked in a couple places and they sent replacements right away, free if charge. I just stored them in my attic because it wasn't worth replacing for a minor scratch.

I don't think this chair will stand the test of time. But for 1-2 years before I move, I think it will work well.

But it looks really great for now! And it is super comfortable. And I really liked the high back, which was an important feature to me. My back has started feeling way better and I think the only think left to do is replace my bed lol

Personally I didn't want to spend a lot of money because I don't actually have anywhere to put a nice chair (it's at my kitchen table) and I knew it might get damaged in a move.

The Caper Stacking Chair from Herman Miller is roughly in that range, and works decently well (at least the version with wheels/casters does).

There are some refurbished Herman Miller chairs on Amazon for around 400.

I also suggest FB marketplace. I got a fully loaded 2019 herman miller aeron that was new in the box for $400. Has the posture fit and everything which I would suggest getting. Makes sitting long hours in a chair much more tolerable

One of the best!

I am currently considering this chair as I’m moving soon and will finally have an office. Do you have it? How long? Any complaints or issues?

I’ve been torn between getting this vs. trying to find a used higher end chair like the HM or Steelcase. Unfortunately used prices I’ve seen are no where near as soon people have mentioned, guess the market for home office chairs is understandably bumping.

Just landed a full time gig, looking to get some furniture so I’m not working on my parents’ kitchen table during this remote period. Any recommendations for desks and chairs? I’m hoping to find something that’s easy to assemble and break down for when I need to move, and something that won’t cost an arm and a leg.

I know everyone has a different kind of setup that works for them. I currently have a laptop, drawing pad, second monitor, and a desk riser.

I feel like some SMs are brainwashed by the client. One I am working with doesn't like people leaving or wfh or going to the home office. Dude I gotta go catch up on my PD work.

Soon I will be working on designing a shared home office for my husband and me. Any ideas for the best kind of set up for this? For context, I work from home and he does not, but he is also an attorney who needs a desk and space to be able to work from home when needed. Thoughts on two separate desks facing each other, on separate walls, along a single wall? The only thing that I think would be a little weird is if we were back to back, in case of my video calls for work

I am on week 9 of wfh. Since then I have worked from my carpet floor and now I’ve been working from my bed (due to my butt and back hurting). No more than $175 for each. Having trouble finding any decent ones that fit this criteria

Just scheduled a meeting to go over an offer for a Senior Engineer role. When asked what I would need to make in order to leave my current job, I said at least $160k depending on benefits (I know I shouldn't have given a number).

I make a little over $145k now, plus stock options, a monthly home office stipend (fully remote), and your usual health benefits.

Assuming their benefits are comparable to my current position, have I given up all negotiation power by providing the initial number?
