I saw a tweet earlier today where a teacher said she's essentially a glorified AI validator rather than a teacher, since instead of actually evaluating the content of a student's writing, she's just determining whether AI wrote the essay or not, and that's very depressing and unfulfilling as it undermines what we considered the role of a teacher.
