I spent all morning scrolling through nursing ads and they’re identical. Everyone promises great ratios and competitive pay, but we know that's rarely the case. How do you know what's worth applying to?

I don't even think about it. As long as the listed pay is decent and the Glassdoor reviews reasonably positive, I'm just submitting my application and moving onto the next. You won't hear back from 80% of them anyway. Might as well wait to the interview process if you get there to decide if it's worth moving forward with or not.

Seriously, why do these organizations not even respond? So unprofessional!

Reviews and talking to people to get an idea of what to expect. It’s very hard to go off of what the ads say, a lot of copy and paste there. You can usually get an idea once you start asking questions.

at interview, you have to write questions down and stick to the point pay scale, benefits, areas and the amount of work you will actually do -Yes of course they will try to make things sound better than they actually are.Remember, ask questions, try and read reviews.Trust your gut instinct

I'm not in sales per se but I manage my company's largest wholesale account ($150 million per/yr account). It's a great company, awesome culture, good benefits, flexibility, but the pay is not great ($60K/yr). All the pros outweighed the mediocre pay, but now with inflation rising, my paycheck isn't going as far and I'm having a really hard time trying to figure out if I should start looking elsewhere or if I should ask my boss for a raise.
