I’ve applied to over 30 jobs in the past month, and have not received a call. Some of the places say they’re “urgently hiring”. Some only seek a BA; I hold a Masters degree and still I do not seem like a “good fit” for some of these places. I am interested I branching into public health research and all that encompasses, especially in tech. Yet am limited with experience on that aspect. Prior to graduate school I held positions as project coordinator and manager for 8+years. Advice?

Waiting for an offer letter from Slalom Consulting that they said they’d “definitely” be extending, but it’s been two weeks now and still nothing. They explained that they’re looking to start me in may ( the exact date is tbd), but are still waiting on final approval. However I’m feeling anxious since I really want to leave the role /company I’m in and this was my Chance. I’m miserable and burned out but can’t consider quitting without another job lined up. Any idea how long this could take?

Sometimes I question my decision to come to America. I attended a university in my home country ranked well above most ivy leagues - yet American lawyers give no respect to foreign qualifications and I have to prove myself on an individual basis time and time again. To make matters worse, US legal qualifications and experience aren’t highly regarded back home - as people there consider US legal education and practice to be politicized and unscholarly.
