I spoke with a peer who switched to a role in a high-demand specialty area, only to discover that the salary offered was lower than what she expected based on market trends. It’s surprising how often this happens, especially when certain fields are booming. Have you encountered a similar situation when changing roles?

To all those who have got or trying to get international assignments. What skills do we need to showcase to our leads/managers and possess.
Also those who are managers what do you expect one should have in order to get this opportunity.
Please don't say bootlicking/politics/favouritism etc. Those might be there but what are real skills.

Higher offers at 27-28 with more fixed pay is from contract and hire/fire type companies. Mostly indirect hiring instead of direct employment with the final employer, means higher pay with lower jon security - we get little more pay, companies get the option to let go with ease later!
