i tend to assume things are self explanatory or simple that it does not require discussion. finding out what I think is simple is not for others. any tips for when to open up a lengthier discussion?

Ask yourself how much of a voiceover you’d have to give.

Often times I’m done w a document, think it’s good, and then practice actually giving the presentation. Then that makes me realize how much voiceover is required and then I add more explanation in.

Give control to the reader. Tell them the actions they can take to get that info. If you're speaking to them say they can stop you with questions. If you're writing ask them if they have any questions.

If you're writing it's also important to know your audience. You may want to get to know those types of people better so you can gauge things better.

When in doubt, explain like it's your grandma.

A lot of my HPLC and LCMS experience is with already established methods. Any tips?
