I have a month left till my GMAT. Should I start solving the official questions timed or solve more untimed until I feel more comfortable? Asking because TTP is religiously advising on untimed strategy, but I’m currently struggling with timing especially CR; untimed sessions often make me take 3-4 minutes per question (80-90% accuracy). Does anyone enter a “f*ck up” spiral and how do you get out? Trying to decide if I’m burnt out after three crazy months or if I just suck at this job and should hang it up if I can’t get it back together soon. I don’t trust myself anymore.

Tips for bankruptcy associates who eventually want to move in-house? 3rd year associate in bankruptcy/restructuring group doing mainly bk lit but a few deals too. Need to stay in BL for at least another year for the money, but eventually want to move in-house. The path to in-house seems more straightforward for general commercial lit or more standard transactional practices. Was interviewing with a firm and soon after receiving an offer, learned of bad culture/toxic partners in the practice group from a couple of associates who recently lateraled from the firm. I turned the offer down. A partner that I clicked with while interviewing reached out asking me why I turned down the offer. Should I be honest and relay what I heard?

My mentors (partner & senior) have scheduled a feedback meeting with me on Wednesday. It’s not just me, they’re scheduling meetings with everyone so I’m probably keeping my job.
