I tried to explain a new HR process today and halfway through realised people just wanted to know one thing. “Is this going to create more meetings?” Honestly, that question might be the most honest workplace feedback I hear. What workplace change instantly makes you suspicious? 😅

I have noticed the same hesitation when AI comes up in workplace conversations. Sometimes it feels like leadership gets excited about the idea before anyone has clearly explained how it will actually help the work.

What is the process for negotiating a job offer (from a firm or otherwise)? Do you have to be ready to ask for more salary/bonus/other perks right when they call you to make the offer, or can you ask for time to consider and then call back with your additional requests? I’m not the best at thinking quickly on the spot, so feel like I could be more thoughtful if I took a day or two to consider my requests.
