Free pizza and forced after hours gatherings! JK. I think ensuring pay is fair and criteria for promotions is understood and that equal treatment is the same for all regardless of position, communication is honest goes a long way to improving morale. Nothing kills it quicker than losing trust or credibility. There's not a enough jenga team building exercises to bring that back.

It's true that you cannot fix morale with surface level perks. If pay, fairness, and trust are off, everything else feels fake. I think transparency and consistency matter far more than any quick win.
I think it starts at the top with the leadership team. When morale is crap it is usually because of decisions made by those very people. Rewarding hard work and acknowledging your employees is what boosts morale.

I agree. Morale reflects leadership decisions more than anything else. If people feel unheard or undervalued, no initiative fixes that. I think consistency and fairness from the top sets the tone for everything.
