The feeling of avoiding mines buried on the gorund is one I carry at all times, and I remember the fear and the anxiety at every step. I still feel like this today, like every decision I make will lead to disaster.

Something similar happens to me but with the corners, every closed corner causes me a total panic, they are the traces left by the combat. How long ago were you in the war?

I am a Vietnam vet and now a police officer, and those kinds of mines were a nightmare in the field, and even more so if you ever saw someone die with one, it is something that stays with you and merges with your daily thoughts, I know how you feel, but my support group has helped me with this. If you want you can help.

What combat does to us is not seen immediately, as the years go by we can notice how it really affected us, I think there is no way to totally overcome this.

It's a awful feeling, I know! but then it tends to get less and less each time. If this is not your case you should check that you are not suffering from PTSD.

I’ve been working to an unhealthy degree lately. And I’ve been making the excuse that I have a lot of work right now, but I’m starting to wonder if I’m addicted to it. Part of it is anxiety and perfectionism. But my behavior is now actively harmful to myself and starting to harm my marriage.

How do I stop? I’m not talking work-life balance. I mean, how do I say, “I don’t care that the client wants this tomorrow and I’m not close to done, I’m going to sleep tonight”?

How much do you charge/would you charge for a workshop? A gym is trying to get me to do a workshop for compound movements (2-3 hours) and they seem to think I’ll just do it for my rate of personal training. There’s no way in hell Im doing that for $65 lmao.
So, Im reaching out to see what all you coaches out there charge. Doesn’t have to be fitness related, any and all workshop fees will give me a decent idea :)

I have a looming sense of self hatred. I take medication I workout and do all the things to feel good, but it’s just stuck there. Constantly thinking I’m trash, in a bad person, etc. Feeling guilty for things idek if I should feel guilty about. This is a privileged problem and I know it’s minuscule to compared to the actual struggles of so many people in the US and abroad. Just wondering if anyone has felt this as well and if so, how do you get rid of that self hatred?

Reminder to everyone: use your 2021 vacation time. Don’t let it pass you by just because you’re not traveling. Take a long weekend once a month to nap and eat chips in sweat pants all day. We all need to do our part to normalize self care, and sitting at home doing “nothing” is just as worthy of a vacation day as pina coladas on the beach.
