I work hybrid (3 days in office/wk) and is moving to a new home address in different msa. Company lawyer is working on filing h1b amendment to include my new home address. However, I have a hard stop to move out of old address due to new tenant. Ive been told I cannot move to new address until amendment is filed. But can I stay at a friend's house for 2 weeks? It's been over 2 months since they started amendment process and I cannot delay moving out anymore. I plan on working at office everyday

Scenario: US visa expired in 2021. Applied for a Canadian tourist visa to hopefully go for H-1B stamping in Canada once they open appointments.
Biometrics completed. Haven’t received any comm regarding my tourist visa approval. My partner already revived the visa long ago even if we allied together. Could it be because my US visa has expired? The reason I gave for applying for visitor visa was just for tourism purposes.
