If an outside recruiter is trying to fill a bookkeeper position at an accounting firm, and claims that he has placed many applicants at this firm, shouldn't he know what software they use, or what the hours of operation are? None of this information was listed in the job posting, so I think that these are valid questions.

When a recruiter asks you, in the middle of a screening, how long it would take you to start before being given an offer, what's a reasonable timeframe?
I want time to 1) get and compare with other ops, 2) time to give notice to my team, and 3) a bit of vacation time in between jobs. But I don't want to be ridiculous.

Feel like audit scheduling is always done on a knifes edge in that the timeline and staff schedules are enough so that if everyone works 60 hour weeks and no issues are identified then it can be filed on time. But even small things that increase the work can wildly throw off the schedule and cause hours to skyrocket for the staff on the job. No real point here, just ranting.

I’ve been working a Boston based commercial lender for about 9 months as a credit analyst since leaving my relationship manager/portfolio manager role in agricultural lending. I’ve been presented with a portfolio analyst role they have created for me (was told not to apply for a PM role) . The offer is for $100k, is this reasonable? I feel like I have leverage due to underwriting 48% of the volume we have booked by myself and my team is 7 other analysts.
