HK and Foley start pay above 200k- best pay but require the most hours. Gunster starts around 180k, but has way more salary compression over time and similar work expectations. GT, Akerman, Shutts, CF, and other mid/big law start between 140-180k with varying degrees of black box and salary compression— but most of those seem to accommodate a more comfortable lifestyle. Without as many big law firms and MCOL in these midsize cities (Orlando, Tampa, Jax, etc), there’s just not much pressure to start salaries very high. Much better luck in Miami.
This is a unicorn. Nobody is paying that to first years unless you graduated ivy league or top of class at big school.
Akerman, Holland, Spencer Fane, Gunster, and Foley.
Shutts is probably close to that.
Yea it’s market-dependent
Don’t work at these firms but I know the easy answers are Holland, Gunster, and Foley. Not sure who else. I would bet Hill Ward and Quarles and Brady are close
Really? I’ve hear rumors they’re around $150-160k but maybe it depends on practice group
Gray Robinson probably starts around 140k.
Someone at Gunster in the past has reported at least $195k. Haven’t seen any other data; but probably very few at $170 for a first year in Tampa.
