I love gardening and over the years I've become a fan of particular garden designers I learned about from watching BBC Gardeners' World (I subscribe to Britbox main for that one program). When I was younger it never occurred to me that someone could be a garden designer, but if I could have a dream career I'd do that. It's totally impractical of course, I couldn't really make a living at it. But it's something I find fascinating, the idea that you can design something that will exist in nature.
I think about this all the time! If I had to choose, I’d probably be running a bakery honestly. I practically do at my own house. If it would pay the bills I would definitely have done that.
I totally feel the same way! I love baking, but running a small business can definitely be a challenge.
If I monetize my hobbies I get sick of them and would be totally miserable. I would want to go back to project management or training. I did a mix of both in a previous role and it gave me a sense of fulfillment that I have yet to achieve since.
I tried to go back when I got laid off but the money just isn’t there for my limited experience/education. My current role pays well and affords me flexibility I wouldn’t have doing what I enjoy.
I’d be a travel agent or interior designer!
