Is anyone else depressed by the ORM/URM world we live in? Would you be supportive of a demographic-blind admissions process, especially given the multitude of interesting backgrounds and successful experiences regardless of gender / racial / other identity?
Curious what people's age ranges for dating are. There's the classic "half your age plus seven" rule, but wondering if that's actually followed. Please comment below with your age, gender, and range.
Hi, we just launched Diversity and inclusion committee at our work place and one of our many initiatives is to share some reminders /notifications about safety and inclusion in common employee platforms/portals e.g There’s no place or time when discrimination is acceptable. Please feel free to report to HR if you com across any discriminatory behavior. Anyone has any more similar ideas what other topics we can add?
Currently being devalued at work due to my gender. When I speak I am not taken seriously, I constantly have to deal with micro-aggressions, getting talked over, inappropriate comments, etc.
Does Deloitte have a diversity recruitment pipeline/team? I want to build my network through some informational interviews before I apply for a role. If anyone has any info or contacts let me know
Dear FCB CHICAGO, you tout diversity but you let go of one of the only two black creative directors in your building today. This CD was good with the client, work and team. (Cont’d)
yooo. Writing the Indian constitution was basically a policy writing project, using the head office policy for reference. I totally forgive the inclusion of some of the archaic Victorian laws now.
What are your thoughts on splitting everything 50/50? I've only dated men who take pride in being protector and providers but now running into men who want everything split 50/50. It is a turn off for me. Am I being unreasonable or have I just been spoiled previously and having a tough time adjusting to reality?
What do DEI people actually do? Besides give the (mostly false) appearance of diversity within the agency?
Anyone have any recommendations of courses or certifications that have been helpful/useful/worthwhile around diversity, inclusion and belonging? (LinkedIn, Udemy, leadership programs etc..) Currently in Sales and considering pivoting to a role more D&I focused.
I'm struggling with gender roles from a finances perspective. I'm independent and feel confident financially. I've grown up in a traditional South Asian household where my dad worked, my mom was a homemaker. I know both are equally important and my mom works just as hard if not harder than my dad. I've give give give and have been taken advantage of in the past and now I'm extra cautious. I'm struggling with mindset of splitting things or guys expecting girls to pay. I can pay (and I do) but
A VP in my team always reminds me that “I’m LUCKY to be 1. a woman 2. Black and 3. Young” every time we go out for team drinks (In comparison to white men who don’t ticket the diversity box).......🙃
Poll: How many of you believe in your company's Diversity & Inclusion initiatives? Are they well funded to have a chance to work?
Has anyone made the jump from a traditional role (producer, strategy, etc) to an internal diversity role? Specifically interested in carving this out for production department
“Like” the gender you associate with in the comments below (if you’d like). Just polling... Yes, feel free to add whatever you’d like in addition to M or F.
Partners- looking for advice, or maybe just perspective. I still have trouble letting go of the details and taking personal accountability for things that are probably “minutia”. This ranges from...
My OOO email message starting Monday: I will be out of the office from 9/21/15 until 9/28/15. If this is an emergency, tough luck.

If I buy a place as a primary residence, am I not allowed to have a roommate the first year? Or is getting a tenant for the whole place the only thing that isn’t allowed?
Would a personality test be a fun gift idea? Like purchasing a detailed scientific Myers-Briggs test for someone?
Are high end safaris worth it in migration season? I'm looking for my honeymoon and they look amazing, but really really expensive ($2k/night). Two nights there and that's the cost of a normal trip! I realize that worth is a relative term. For context, we love seeing wild animals and money is not tight
Has anyone had to deal with copywriters using slang in a headline (or in this case NOT a real word) and clients approving it? I fought to kill an e-mail headline that reads: This deal’s a dream come true. 😬I lost the battle. 😵💫 How sad is that?
My current employer would like to terminate an employee but give them a two week notice, ex: letting them know tomorrow their last day is 1/15. Is this standard?
A CCO said she was judging a produced commercial I wrote, for the Addys. Where can I check to see if it won anything?

Cyberpunk 2077: I just spent the last 30 mins trying to decide if my character needs to have a genital and if yes, which.
Can i assume the cheaper neighborhoods close to my better neighborhood (by schools and amenities) are a good place to invest for the long term and that growth will lead to long term appreciation in the cheaper neighborhoods, when I’m looking at purchasing rental properties? Basically if i have slight cash flow positive now, can i assume the value and cash flow will increase through vicinity improvement in a suburb?
