Bain & Company I’m from Italy and will start my master’s degree at Oxbridge this fall. I got my undergrad from a target uni in continental Europe. I want to start my career in consulting, possibly MBB, in London. I know consulting firms tend to hire locally but I’d really like to work in London and that’s also one of the main reasons why I went for the Oxbridge degree. Anyone, who might have some tips, or went through a similar experience? McKinsey & Company Boston Consulting Group Bain & Company

How badly do you want to work at the first company? 4 months is a long time to string someone along, and there's really no guarantee that you'll get an offer. Personally, I'd go with the new company.
I think venturing to this new opportunity would be the move! Especially to learn even more skills
It depends on if you have the time to wait. For me, I would go somewhere else. When places are slow like that it shows me they don't really want me.
Thanks for the advice everyone! I now have 4 job interviews lined up with external organizations! Currently looking at healthcare insurance, med tech start up, adv. primary care, and hospital ops. I’ll be sure to keep y’all updated on my progress!
Not that badly sadly, I’ve had some bad experiences that have made me cynical toward the organization. Especially when I was told I’d receive a call the next day and 3 weeks later I’m told by one down that I didn’t get the role
On top of that, I had a colleague tell me I appeared meek to those who interviewed me and she had no parts of dealing with the interview…
No no no! Bad sign! Take new offer ASAP
Quick update:
I expect to get offers from my current company and an external company! I am expecting the offer for the company I’m at to be around 75k. I’m not sure about the other company, but I would be a business operations and excellence coordinator. How can I negotiate to ensure I receive a fair/higher offer from the external company?
Just popping back in to let y’all know I got an offer today with a new company! The job is remote and I’ll be making 80k! I was originally was offered 75k, but negotiated up to 80! Thanks everyone for the encouragement to leave my job! Now to the exit conversations 😅
