If your shift is 8:00 to 4:30 and you get two 15 minute breaks and a 30 minute lunch, what time would you take your breaks? A part of me says take a break every 2 hours but sometimes I want to take my breaks earlier or later..

When I have the option, I like to take everything as late as I possibly can. Something really nice about coming back from a break or lunch and being almost done with the day.

Makes the day go by that much quicker towards the end when I’m tired and ready to get out of there anyway!

I'd do lunch at 12:30. Not sure about the 15 minute breaks. I'd probably take one mid morning (maybe 10:30) and the other after lunch (maybe 3:00). Although I'd be very tempted to save the two 15 minute breaks for the very end of the day so I could leave right at 4:00 😂 can't imagine management would be on board with that plan though.

I like your plans to take breaks. Every two hours is a great idea. Also, taking breaks towards the end of your shift is a great option as well. I usually take my break about 2 hours before my shift is over.

I try to keep my brakes closer to the end of my shift as possible. That way I have the majority of my shift. I’m looking forward to my break. Then when I finally get off my break, I don’t have to work that much longer.

Hi Fishes,

What percentage hike can I negotiate in the HR round of Accenture if I have a second offer of 17 lacs (CTC) in hand and a relevant experience of 2 years?

Inputs from people who are working or have worked in Accenture would be really appreciated. 🙂

I have got offer from wipro ...I have been selected in bulk hiring..... And HR said that you will be on bench for 2 weeks and then you will be given option to select project.
Can anyone please confirm does it happen with every person who joins wipro?
Will I remain on bench for longer period of time?

1. Always ask dedicated budget for the job before you tell your expectations.

2. Always have atleast 2 weeks of gap before you join any company. You might not understand significance of that but just have a gap.

3. Always talk to people of team you will be joining before you accept offer or atleast before you join company.
