So my fiancé and I are having a microwedding in Rocky Mountain National Park next year, and we’re working with an elopement planner.
She sent over a sample ceremony (intro, sweet poems + passages to be read, and example vows), and we read through it last night. I was reading it out loud while my fiancé made dinner, and it just hit me that this is really happening. I’m just really happy that I found someone who is willing to take a vow to spend his life with me and I’m so excited for that day :)

I just got engaged on Sunday (!!) and my ring is just a little big. I’m reading online that most jewelers won’t resize a rose gold ring. Has anyone had any issues with this? I could go back to the family jeweler who designed the ring and would do it for free but the ring was designed in Michigan and I live in Chicago. Is it worth it to drive to Michigan to get it taken care of there?

Getting married in September, have a vax only policy for guests. My fiancé’s sister is bringing her unvaccinated spouse to the hotel where all the wedding festivities are being held b/c she is too scared to fly on an airplane without him. Was a little sticker shocked $200 per person before gratuity, just adds up quickly with that many people😬 Not requiring it but wanted to offer it if they want to be more glammed up, but now seeing online that’s it’s considered quite rude to not cover it for them? Maybe just cover one and they can do the other if they want? Don’t want to be rude if it’s expected but also don’t want to blow our budget… any perspective on the “norm” appreciated!

We’re having a destination wedding and I feel selfish/silly for taking a honeymoon after. But I feel like if we don’t do it then we will put it off and it won’t really feel like a “honeymoon”. What would you do?
