I’m currently employed but job hunting, and scheduling interviews around shifts is getting tricky. Do you tell your current employer you’re looking or keep it quiet?

I informed them I was looking for other work just as a courtesy for my coworkers so that I didn't come out of nowhere with a two week notice. I think it depends on how you think your boss(es) will react to that news. If you think they will understand then give them that extra courtesy, if you think they will be resentful then give them the minimum of a 2-week.

like

Yeah I guess that’s a good time frame to give them

Keep it a secret. Two weeks is the standard professional courtesy. Offering a reason or more time could backfire. They could react adversely to the news, or try to manage you out. Yep, even with professional courtesy. No matter the relationship, I’d give two weeks notice. It protects you; even if you don’t think you need it, it’s better to do so and leave in your own terms

Yeah I tgink I agree with you here

Did you give them a reason why leaving or?

So I’m in industry from big 4, and a colleague with same yoe comes from MBB. High paying tech firm. I think I work harder and produce quality content at speed, but they can hold executive conversations that tend to impress senior stakeholders.

Big 4 produces work horses and MBB produces leaders. Also they could be a work horse too since I don’t have full visibility.

Anyone have similar experiences or do I just suck at executive stakeholder management?

I’m looking to transition from an academic medical center to pharma or a biotech. I have about 8 years of clinical research experience overall — 7 years combined as a CRC (CRC I, CRC II, and senior CRC) and 1 year as a PM. I’m also recently ACRP-CP certified.

I’ve worked with many different industry-sponsors and CROs throughout the years, but many jobs I am applying to require experience at a biotech/CRO/pharma company. Would really appreciate any advice or referrals. Thanks in advance!

How do you answer the question about yourself in i-944 where you can indicate "self" and it asks you if you live with said individual "self", and if this individual is filing for an immigration benefit with you or has in the past (again it's weird because you're talking about yourself.. ).

I like my current job, company and public accounting. I know I am being underpaid at $70k as a senior tax associate with 2-3 years of experience as I have talked with my local peers as well as local recruiters. Also, I know outside hires to my company get paid about $5-$10k higher than me, but they don’t get a raise the following year. My question is what is everyone’s experience with company hopping to get a pay bump within public accounting?
