Do you think the “great resignation” was applicable to big law associates? Are these people ever coming back?

Seems like it must've been since every Top Law firm has had more job openings over the last few years than ever despite record pay raises. Watching my SIL come visit and "work from home" at our house by answering emails and taking a few calls a day while working out, watching TV, going out to lunch, etc., while my work day is self-audited in 6 minute increments was certainly eye opening.

@A1 not Big Law money but she has a decent corporate job. We don't talk money but I'd bet she makes $65k in her late 20s.

Lots of colleagues left the law to join politics or pursue their artistic dreams.

I’m currently a third year in my small firm’s life sciences team. I’m not really stimulated by the work and although they say they have a lot of work, they’re not good at managing workload. I haven’t had much work on my plate even after asking many times for more than six months. I’m ready to move to a larger law firm. However, I am concerned how I’ll manage the workload as a mom to a toddler. The good thing about my firm is that they’re flexible with hours. Anyone have experience balancing?

I work as an AGM in a busy restaurant. Been working there for just over a year, and haven't had a single raise. I now only make 0.50 cents more than even the lowest paid shift lead but I am doing a lot more work. I'm no longer satisfied with these conditions. Should I try to negotiate a raise or look for other opportunities?

If I should negotiate, any tips?
