Disney Streaming Services I completed my interview process with DSS early last week, and was reached out by recruiter that all rounds were strong hires, and they are extending an offer. We set a time to talk on Friday about the offer. However, the announcement of targeted hiring freeze happened on Friday. I was ghosted with no call. What should I expect now? Would I still have chance to be offered?

Loooooove Vienna during Christmas time. Beyond the main sights that I’m sure you’ll research about the city, below are some of my favorites during Christmas:
- Cafe Landtmann (a good alternative to the more popular Cafe Central, and less busy)
- Wiener Christkindlmarkt in Rathausplatz plaza. This is the biggest Christmas market in Vienna (and arguably in all of Europe). Visit both during the day and night to get different experiences/vibes.
- Schöbrunn Palace - I did a self-guided tour around a place. Beautiful gardens even in the winter. They also have a Christmas market there too during that time of the year.
- Plachutta Wollzeile - a favorite restaurant of mine for classic Viennese boiled beef and schnitzel. Make reservations in advance.
- All the Christmas and decorative lights around Old town (they string chandelier lights across the old town and it’s just majestic)
- Demel Vienna cafe - I enjoyed their classic Viennese cakes
- tip if you care about this…water from the tap is safe to drink and always freezing cold directly from the Austrian alps. Freshest and cleanest water I’ve ever had. Never bought water bottles to keep in the room.
I also did a day trip to Bratislava. Quick train ride and a great way to experience Slovakia, if that’s of interest.
For Budapest, check out the ruin bars if you’re into that
For Budapest:
- W Hotel is really nice; also right across from the opera house (highly recommend buying a ticket to an opera or ballet)
- Get a night cruise ticket on the river - parliament is beautifully lit up at night
- Try one of the thermal spas - Szechenyi is the most popular but is a party occasionally
- Try out one of the old Soviet cafes - e.g., Bambi Cafe
- Get reservations at Borkonyah wine kitchens / their other restaurants (some of the best food in Hungary)
- Uber everywhere; don’t take the taxis
- there’s not much art in Budapest (it’s really a walking city / see architecture); that said I really enjoyed the national Hungarian Magyar museum. The WW2 museum wasn’t too interesting, recommend skipping.
- Go to the Central Market Hall (go early am to bear tourists) and buy papyrika
Vienna's hop on/hop off bus is EXCELLENT! Not too long, informative, gets you around the city, and the best part is it goes to the wineries that are within the city.
