Anywhere in South America. Colombia is about 6 hours. And no/little time change depending on where you are in the US. I’ve also done Peru, Brazil, Uruguay, and Argentina and loved them all.

like

Well, it’s December. Anywhere they go will be hot or cold. Although I agree about BA. I lived in Uruguay one yeah for Jan-Feb and the beaches are glorious. I’ve heard it’s gotten very built up since then (I was there in the aughts) but I’m sure it’s still great.

Budget? Distance limitations? Other criteria?

Where are you flying from? 3-4 days in Europe isn’t much of flying from US.

By SA do you mean South African or South America?

Most of Europe is cold in December.

like

All of the Caribbean? Europe in winter (even south) is cold as shit. If you need to be across the pond go to Egypt, Israel, or Middle East generally

Been living in a luxury building for about a year and start noticing that I have a mild cough when I’m in the building. Anyone experienced anything like that? I’m not going crazy, am I?

Any tips for organizing a bedroom, closet, dresser & bathroom? My teen has IADHD, and low executive functioning. Her room looks like a land mine. Clean clothes are mixed in with dirty, her desk is a disaster, she won’t let go of clothes she’s outgrown, drawers are open with clothes hanging out. A therapist said to close her door if we don’t want to see it but it’s more than that. She needs this important life skill & I don’t know how to help. Easier to organize w/o her but that’s not a solution.

Has anyone experienced difficulties with speech/thinking through taking anti-depressants or from suffering with long term depression? I first started noticing difficulties in articulating my thoughts at university and my career in consulting has only made this more prominent. Does anyone else suffer with paralysis? Mine is so bad I don’t even know what to do anymore. In example, something as simple as responding to a text with a heart and a “happy thanksgiving to you too” was all I needed to do and I didn’t. Now it’s Sunday and I feel awful responding so late. I’m procrastinating with life errands and feeling the burn. I do the biggest bare minimum at work and I’m pretty sure people are started to notice. Everything is making my anxiety and overthinking worse.

Rant: my boyfriend is so annoying with this diet! I GET IT. You want to eat healthy! But when you have your friends at our place every other weekend they order pizza and you devour most of 2 boxes! But when I want pizza or wings or burgers I have to hear a whole spiel. “Can we pick something healthier?” “You can order ___ but can I choose something else on the menu?” “I don’t knowwww” like MY GOD. Then if I order something for me he wants half or bites! Sick of it!!!

Has anyone been successful in negotiating the schedule on a global pregnancy bill? My provider won't bill by visit and split the global cost into four payments all due by the 28th week. I don't understand how that's legal since it is so off the calendar of services and crosses calendar years (and insurance coverage), where most costs are incurred at the end of pregnancy with increased visit frequency and delivery.

Hi everyone, its my first time posting here but thought I'd ask for some advice on this.
am a beginner UXer with a design education background. I just got a job as UI Designer. I am super anxious. I am good at research to wireframing. But UI, never done it before... high fid, design systems etc are all so new to me. This is making me so insecure getting into the new job what if I make a fool of myself? What if I ruin projects and real client work? Should be excited but can't stop overthinking.

Should I specialize in Blockchain or AI? I’m a freshman in a CS degree and I can’t decide. Regarding AI, I find this field fascinating but I feel like it requires a lot of experience, degrees and diplomas.

Question on UK visa-
My partner will be traveling often to London, once a month for an year starting September. He is getting his visa through work (10 years, multiple entry, 6 months max stay, cost some $1000).

I have applied for standard tourist visa in the past and they are usually short term. It could be max 6 months, but they see your itinerary and allocate you few months around the itinerary

Is there a way to get 6 months multiple entry visa, if I were to join him once in a while.
