A lot of people will talk a lot in class and use big words and reference cases - ignore them. They’re just as clueless as you, just loud.
Thank you! This is helpful.
Feel free to DM me! I was also a first-gen law student with immigrant parents. Currently in my sixth year of big law
Thanks! I send you a DM.
Litigation attorney here 👋 Feel free to send me a DM for Chicago insights.
Thank you! Just sent you a DM.
Shoot me a DM - happy to chat about my time in BigLaw in DC and now in-house.
Thank you! Sent you a DM.
OP I was in the same boat as you so happy to help! I’m a seventh year litigator in DC now. Feel free to dm me!
Thank you! Just sent you a DM.
I would be happy to connect. I am not in the DC or Chicago area. But love connecting with and mentoring young lawyers. I am also a first generation lawyer with immigrant parents. I work in ID/civil lit (which I think you said you’re interested in) & just made partner after 7 years in practice. Send me a DM if you’d like to connect and I can share my contact information.
Thank you! Just sent you a DM.
OP - do you know what kind of law you want to do (even transactional vs. litigation)? Don’t worry if you don’t - definitely something you can (and should!) explore during law school.
Thank you so much for sharing! This is very helpful information and I will implement it as I start out.
