I’m interviewing at a new company for a high-level role reporting to the CFO. When I asked the CFO about who was the most successful person that ever reported to them, and what made them successful, the CFO stated that the person took feedback and acted on it. There was a nice story behind it about the person achieving higher levels than the CFO eventually at their last company. How would you interpret that response? Could that be seen as a good thing/good management style?

I see nothing wrong with that? He is saying that the person was proactive and willing to change what didn't work. It takes a great mind to do that.

Did the CFO expound on the type of feedback they gave and how it was applied?

I’m hoping it was direct feedback and not ambiguous. And it was respectfully given.

No, didn’t really go into it. Just talked about that persons turnaround and success.

Feeling that I never land an offer from Google. I have tried many times and in my last try, I passed phone screening but recruiter ghosted me...
I am not sure what is wrong...
When I apply with referral, my resume always pass screening and shared with managers. But then no response.
When I get feedback on my resume and experience, people always mention "impressive". I feel desperate...Being in less challenging role at Amazon makes everything worse.
