Everyone has off weeks. The fact you're aware of it and stressed about it probably means you're usually reliable. Is there something in particular that could be throwing you off? Not getting enough sleep, stuff at home, anything like that? When I have those weeks, it's usually because there's something else weighing on my mind.

It is my pregnancy. I have been really close to my due date and all those physical changes are effecting me mentally as well and I guess I don't even realize that I am making these mistakes.
I do a one-word challenge at the start of every year, and this year my word is “pause.” I chose it for exactly the issues you’re experiencing. I often find myself rushing through even simple tasks, which leaves me with extra work because I didn’t take a moment to pause and felt overwhelmed trying to get everything done. You might just be having an off week, but maybe you could also try embracing the pause.

You are right. Having a pause really matters especially when you are stressed out about some stuff. My goal this weekend is to disconnect my mind from everything and take proper rest and restart my week with fresh mind.

When this happens to me I know it’s time for a vacation to get back to me killing at work again. I believe everyone needs a reset from work. It can be overwhelming working so much without any vacation or little to no breaks. I always prioritize my breaks/vacation more than anything now.

The issue is I took my vacation in the beginning of the year so I did not have any PTO available to take. I am glad this is new year and everything has reset and now I can take that time off. Taking those vacation days are really important.
I just had the same feeling today. I do medical billing and talk with customers and make adjustments to their balance so when I make a mistake I’m giving away company money. It makes me feel like my bosses can’t trust me and now I’m flagged for being careless and now I think I’m being even more monitored. I think the best thing is accountability. Our bosses aren’t probably passionate about the dry work but we do get fulfillment from working with others as a team. You’re bound to make mistakes , but that just means you’re working (probably too hard). Haste makes waste. Don’t be afraid to cut down on productivity to reorganize, it’ll help you focus. Relax and Don’t worry!

Thank you very much for your advice. It is giving me a feeling that it happens to everybody and I guess it is normal to have those low days. I am glad I shared it and getting these comments.
