Ugh story of my life. I was even up to 300 mg + on a high dosage of Zoloft and it still wasn’t doing the job. This is going to be an annoying piece of advice but I’ve found that forcing myself go outside for walks just to get some natural vitamin D helped a bit. I always felt better when I came home. It’s so hard though, you really really have to force yourself. Sending you hugs <3
Thank you - I’ll drag my butt out into the sun in a bit and reluctantly absorb the light
I can’t recommend enough how much diet and exercise can help. Life changing.
I’m already going to the gym 6/7 days a week but admittedly could work on the diet part…stress-ate a bar of chocolate today and 2 mini cookies
Does your company have an EAP? You get free sessions. My insurance (Cigna) also had an EAP which gave me 3 more. So i found someone covered by both EAPs. They are also pretty flexible. If you don't mesh with the provider you pick you can start over with another one. My company offers the Sanvello app which i also found useful when i had no therapy.

Have you had genetic testing done to see if you have any genetics that cause you to metabolize antidepressants differently?
Approximately 40% of people who are seen for issues of depression and anxiety have a MTHFR mutation that prevents them from processing folate in a way that creates an in range amount of serotonin. It can also cause faster metabolizing of certain classes of SSRIs, like Zoloft, rendering them less effective.
If you’ve struggled with finding a medication that works, it might be time to request genetic testing to rule out mutations that your body has. For me, SSRIs won’t work and instead we’ve explored SNRIs which have longer half lives and work on two different parts of what I’ve struggled with (anxiety and depression) in addition to supplementing methylated folate.
