I'm feeling enraged. The anti-vax movement is so toxic and illogical. So many brilliant scientists devoted their lives to eradicating these awful diseases, only for a generation of idiots to bring them roaring back in the name of personal freedom and it's their poor kids that end up paying the ultimate price. It's heartbreaking and maddening.

The “idiots” are the greedy pharmaceutical companies who only see our children as $$$$. Vaccinating without sufficient proof it does no harm. What is heartbreaking is children being forced to take vaccines that are not adequately tested and if they are, test results are hidden from the public.

I’ve had parents ask if they should keep their kids home. That’s the kind of fear this creates. We need public health to be a priority again.

But why would they fear if they got the vaccine?

Measles cases spiked in 2014 and 2019. Really sad to see it happening all over again. Most districts do have full vaccination policies. Hoping that it doesn’t spread more than it already has. Heart goes out to everyone scared in those areas, really is such an awful thing to have kids and parents worrying about.

Yeah, no kidding. I remember we had to be tested for tuberculosis in school. I remember that in grade school twice a year we lined up to get some kind of hepatitis vaccination during fourth and fifth grade. We had a provide vaccination records every year before school and I had to submit my vaccination records togo to a public college so I don’t get it

Once when I was waiting tables, I had a guy pay me cash. The change was 45 cents, which I didn't give back to him because like who wants that. He then asked where the change was, and when I explained that I didn't give back the loose change, he made a big stink about how dollars and cents matter and didn't leave me a tip. He was a republican staffer on capitol hill.
