The thing is, I fell in love during the pandemic with a friend that I have known for 3 years. It's frustrating since I know I could continue my job from home. I would honestly quit my job and wouldn't mind the job search again.

Any recommendation for a extra firm good quality mattress under $1k?

My partner got a City of Toronto offer. Salary band is 104-121k. HR asked for his expectations and he said 115k. HR came back with a 106k offer stating nobody on the team makes that much so they cant offer it. Also said she is unsure if there is any wiggle room if any at all. I’ve looked at everyone on the team with the same titles salary on the sunshine list and the lowest I see is 121k. I assume there is an OT component of some sort but also can’t confirm. Thoughts? /negotiating advice?

I have 9 years of experience and working in EY GDS with a fixed salary of 35lpa. I have received an offer from EY UK and they have offered 65k pounds. I know it’s less but please let me know if that’s okay given the fact that my wife has an offer of 50k pounds.
