I’m on Glassdoor and noticing that many candidates who received an offer from Google, ultimately decline the offer.

Does anyone have insight into why this happens a lot. Is Google taking too long to match the candidate with a team and the candidates end up accepting another offer, or maybe the offer wasn’t very good? Or location constraints?

Currently scheduling “on sites” for a S&O role in CA. My referrer said they can hire as L5 or L6. Would like to land in the L6 bucket as I’ve heard 5 --> 6 is one of the more challenging promotions.

I’m looking for info on what the real difference is in responsibilities (manager vs IC, cross functional vs focused, etc) so I can focus on checking the L6 boxes during my interviews.

I’m also curious about whether this is something that I should just discuss with my recruiter directly?
