I agree- just ask the team for ideas.
Best I've received: fun socks. Worst: a baseball hat with the company logo. I couldn't wear it to work and did want to rep when I wasn't working so it never got used.
I find that the best swag are just nice things people would use. backpacks. battery packs. branded baggus. those chairs for weekend kids games.
Here is an idea! Collect ideas from the group without making any promises. They will feel included.
Agreed there is enough plastic in the world. People don’t need another plastic water bottle!
Since out last company was remote the most useful swag were travel and office products. Backpack, chargers, wallet that sticks to the back of the phone, neck pillow, keyboard cleaner, webcam cover, ergonomic products (laptop stand, foot relief pad etc). If the company gives out standard sized laptops then laptop snap on covers are protective and fun.
Nice quarter zips are still my favorite if you don’t already have a bunch. We also had picnic blankets on our team and vinyl stickers with our team logo to add to our laptops.
Chip clips are a small thing, but I’ve kept all of those because they’re so practical. Those are probably more recruiting giveaways than swag, but I always recommend them anyways.
Socks! 😅 there’s a company that will do custom ones— can’t remember off the top of my head who we used though…
Probably sock club!
I love office supplies, so whenever I get a nice branded notebook/notefolio, I'm happy. I go through those so much. My favorite was a branded notebook with built-in sticky note bookmarks.
Some of the best received swag at our org were power banks, notebooks, travel umbrellas, laptop sleeves, coffee mugs, and travel mugs. Hope this helps!

Power banks, notebooks, chargers/ dongles for the laptop have been my most used items.
Check out the company SwagUp they make incredible employee gift boxes. Even if you don’t use them they have ample ideas on their site that are out of the ordinary!
Power banks and planners are my fave and useful
Big fan of the collapsible coffee cups. So you can bring em places then collapse it and toss it in a purse after. What are the activities of the event? Can you tie it in with something they'll use? I.e. if water is involved - a towel? Fanny packs are back in! Whatever you do. Don't order the cheap version. Get something brand named or at least well made, then take it to a print/embroidery etc. Supplier to get it it company logo's up!
