I'm struggling trying to name my business/brand. I'm trying to launch a PR/marketing agency. Should I go out of the box, pick something fun, or keep it simple? I'm usually very creative but I can't get over this hump here.

Write 500 potential names. Take long break and try to write 500 more. The best ideas come after the tank is empty

Try this. Ideally your company offers some type of differentiator. Even if it’s a small detail. Focus on the one unique aspect you have that others don’t (or that you do better), and try a few names based around that.

I don’t think it matters at all - the quirky name thing has been done so you’re not being different in that manner. Pick a name you feel comfortable with and that isn’t going to cause you SEM problems.

I name products and business often for clients. Whatever names you like, be sure to run them through a site to make sure the URLs are available

don't forget about seo , in your brand identity

In times like that I remember something I learned at my very first job in the field. KISS, keep it simple! Don’t overthink it too much, and choose whatever you think fits. Even if it is the quirky out of the box thing, just do whatever speaks to you! Don’t fixate on one aspect, and get lost there!

Personaly I would go with something fun. I feel like when a brand has a fun name its something that I do not forget. If you have something simple it might be easily forgotten and that is not what you want. Go with something fun for sure.

You could follow Jeff Bezo’s lead. Start with the letter A. You’ll be on top of the list for Google searches.

Keep it simple. It's gonna be immediately stored in people's brain

I would say be simple and still try to be out of the box - Going for "simple" way would make it easy for you to connect with your niche and Plus, having something outta box will help you stand out from your competitors.

Do recruiters and Hiring Managers actually review and read resumes? Also tech companies that sell SaaS, what is it with the requirements of having 10 years or more if technical sales experience? Also the ramp up period is not realistic. Average sales cycle for a reputable SaaS provider is 12-24 months. How on earth a start up can state that their ramp up period is 90 days? The company hasn’t had any new sales either. Start up CEO’s… be realistic or seek enough funding to operate.

Tomorrow, I know I will be asked to continue pushing forward with pre planned campaigns that upsell products and services that to groups already in dire straits. After the events of this weekend, I ethically disagree with acting “business as usual”.
