I am what I like to call an early career marketing profession. My experience is limited (some internships, temp jobs). I’m applying for full time marketing jobs. Any advice?

What about marketing to you like specifically? Are there brands you love?

I think internships are a great way to have a foot in the door and prove yourself. But you need to be a hustler and quick to understand what seniors need. We don’t always have time to manage and a lot of interns fall through the cracks because they demand too much energy rather than provide solutions to us.

In my case an intern I didn’t need fell on my lap. She proved herself to be extremely valuable, and I will do everything to hire her. If she was just someone I needed to babysit, it would be different.

All in all, one piece of advice that’s valid for all of your career: make your boss’s life easy. That’s how they end up not being able to live without you. And to understand that, understand what your boss cares about, what they struggle with. Get their trust. Support them.

A quick query here.

I'm going to move from non IT profile to IT profile. Basically I'll be applying as front end engineer in new company. Previously I was working in a BPO profile.
Just wanted to ask if I'll be provided training in my initial months as a front end engineer or am I expected to work from the very first day.
Your comments will be really helpful.
