Interviewed with a new firm and everything went well. Made it past screener, did well in the callback, and recruiters told me the firm loved me and would likely offer. Had a call with this firm yesterday (expecting offer) where they said they had multiple candidates and I was by far their favorite, but they aren’t hiring anyone for right now and things may change in the next few months. Not sure what to make of this or whether to keep this firm as an option if they come calling in the future.

I’ve been at a job a year and have what I would call a very toxic manager. When I first started they were very nasty to me making comments about my appearance, my character and other inappropriate and mean things. I let them know how this made me feel and they stopped however I continue to notice how manipulative and condescending they are. My mental health is at a low. Entity A and B have a partnership such that me working for entity B will create conflict of interest. Should I disclose my relationship with entity A during the initial interview with entity B’s hiring manager? If so, what should I say? I don’t want my volunteer job at entity A potentially jeopardizes my full-time job at entity B.
