I am a 3rd year clerking for a DJ for one year. I had an offer from a firm before I even started my clerkship. You won’t have an issue
I didn’t but I knew a girl who did this. She actually went back to the same firm after the clerkship ended.
Depends on the judge—mag, BK, district or circuit?
Magistrate judge clerkships don’t carry the same weight as district or circuit. May be tougher to re-enter after the two years. Personally I wouldn’t do a 2 year clerkship even for a district court much less for a mag. You learn pretty much all you need to learn from that job in one year. I mean, how many discovery disputes do you really want to work on?
