Has anyone transitioned from litigation to corporate counsel/contracts type work? If so, how’d you like the change?

Yes but my change was accompanied by a shift from firm practice to going in house. No regrets.

Might vary depending on your practice area. I did employment law, which tends to make moving in-house easier.

How do you even switch? It feels impossible.

I’ve just been applying for junior roles. Nothing has stuck yet, but curious what other peoples experiences have been. I hate litigation but nervous about making a change too 😬

Anyone go from SaaS / licensing sales to services (strategy & implementation) sales?

I'm thinking of moving from large cap tech to large cap consultancy firm to help build the resume and round out my experience. I enjoy and do well in licensing, but I'm fairly young in my career (<6 years) and received a great offer to make the move.

Big fan of the org and team I'll be joining as well.

Thanks!!

I am looking to make a career change to HR. I currently make 75K as a sales and development coach. I had a recent offer for a state government position in a talent acquisition role but I’d be taking a $25K pay cut. I am extremely over qualified for the position but it could possibly be a stepping stone and gives me the time to acquire SHRM certifications and possibly start taking classes to get my MBA. My question is those currently in an HR role, would this move make sense to you?
