I love doc review. Easy hours. Semi-mindless work. You can listen to depraved music while doing it and it does not detract from the quality of the work. It’s a billable break from work, really.

I’m a few years in though and I’m becoming too expensive for doc review, unfortunately. Enjoy it while it lasts.

I love it. You control your hours and I ensure I quickly grab my bonus for the year.

I have 10+ hours of doc review to do by mid-week and it’s easy billables as far as I’m concerned. I just sit reading contracts that may or may not have regulatory issues in them.

like

OP, are you doing lit or transactional doc review?

I had a huge doc review project (at least I thought it was large) and reviewed about 15000 docs for privilege in jan/feb. I’m good taking a break from doc review for a bit.

funny

I would love a good doc review project. But only if someone else takes some of this other shit off my plate.

2. Realistic market opportunity/opportunity to crush quota (obv dependent on many things)

Background: Currently making 95k/160k OTE at a boutique research and consulting firm. I’m happy but we’re extremely flat with little to no opp for promotion in the next 2+ years.

Anyone go from SaaS / licensing sales to services (strategy & implementation) sales?

I'm thinking of moving from large cap tech to large cap consultancy firm to help build the resume and round out my experience. I enjoy and do well in licensing, but I'm fairly young in my career (<6 years) and received a great offer to make the move.

Big fan of the org and team I'll be joining as well.

Thanks!!

During the 1st interview, I learned that the compensation for the role is not within the range that I am looking for and requires 400 more billable hours a year than what I bill now.
