Yes
Don’t live in the 40s. You can thank me later.
Not too bad although the bums who hang outside of a liquor store on my street have a massive stereo system for some reason and blast music sometimes. Never felt in danger or anything though.
That's definitely worth the price then
It depends on where in HK. You want to be near or west of 9th Ave above 45th street
Subway access is not great. That said, no real need to commute during covid. There are a lot of nice luxury buildings by the water
It’s a great area, just avoid port authority
No
Who are you going to trust “Deloitte” or McK?
And to answer your question it depends. But mostly no. There are some big and really nice buildings/areas. I’ve lived on 11th and 42nd for years, it’s safe, clean, and relatively new.
No - have lived here 4 years and it's great
I lived on 50th for two years and loved it. Close to the river for runs, close to the park, and easy to get downtown
I’m on 43 and 9 and have no complaints
I'm on 43rd and 10th and don't have any complaints either. Especially with work from home, I'm able to get way more space for my money here and live in a luxury building. There are pockets that can feel a little desolate at night, mostly on 11th, but the rest of the neighborhood is great and way less douchey than places further downtown.
Live on 54th and 10th, 15 mins to Central Park, 5 mins to the river. Nice restaurants in the area, good vibes.
HK is fun
I live there now, it’s nice
It’s not great and if you’re too far west the subway access is a pain. Chelsea is nicer as is the Flatiron area.
Pretty good food neighborhood
It wasn’t pre-covid but with so many favorite restaurants closing, the cost of an apartment is too high compared to the services around.
