Yes bad idea to not re-fill out those sections since those are the sections that ATS scans which in turn decides if your application moves forward in the process. I just copy&paste straight from my resume.
When I first got into the game, I didn’t (could be because I’m still employed so not making insane efforts), but now that I’m a few weeks in I realize how competitive it is, so wouldn’t leave anything out and make sure I fill out all the fields, providing cover letter etc.
Thank you. Wishing I hadn’t said that on the last few applications. Will live and learn.
But you learned! Good job.
I have the same thought as you. Unless they want to judge you on your handwriting or memory under pressure, they can read it on a typed resume as easily -- or moreso -- as they can on their application form.
I would do what is asked of me if I am really interested in the job. A person won't take the the time MAY appear as if they short cut tasks whenever possible. I'm sorry.. I know it can be a hassle.
For the jobs you really care about yes, re-add the information because it’ll help with the ATS scans. If you’re just applying to throw it out there because you’re trying to see who bites or because you have some kind of goal where you try to get so many resumes out there in the course of a week, then see attached resume I think is acceptable.
