Hello Fish Friends! Does a PhD count as project management experience?

I'm an introverted person, like to keep to myself, focus on work, spend the rest of my time on family, gym etc. I've been told that I need to work on my communication and client relationship building skills. any books I can read? I don't follow pop. culture anymore, no longer actively follow team sports (but sporty myself) as I consider it bread and circus for the masses and don't rly enjoy work drinks... Am I doomed? Personally I am happy and love the work but fear for my career progression.

What was the hardest section to get through for REG studying? Did it then pay off in the exam?

If you remove all client specific data and alter data around so it is not client specific, can you then send yourself the file so you know what you did?

I am beyond stuck in my first 1.5 years of my career.

I was over promised opportunities at my first gig and then Covid hit. Leading me to have no portfolio worthy pieces from this 💩 agency with nothing great in sight. (place hasn’t won a pitch in my entire time here + lost clients)

I’m juggling re-vamping my site and a side project to hopefully make my book more robust.

With no kind of leadership or mentor, I’m just figuring out how to dig myself out of this hole. Any advice for this chump?

Potential client owns an e-commerce website selling graphic design posters (think college type posters) submitted by a freelance artists. Most of sales are from posters based off of celebrity musicians. Does client need a license from the celebrities to sell graphic posters of the celebrities even though it is from freelance artists?

According to an article in LinkedIn new job postings are down for the first time in 9 months but still there over 10 million open jobs with only 5.9 million unemployed workers. Why is it that here I am unemployed over 4 months and still not one offer. Anyone got some positive vibes to send my way it would be appreciated! Hi! Recently discussed an associate graphic designer role with a recruiter. Is it reasonable to expect an 85k base in NYC? Am I underselling myself? They started with it being a 75-80k budgeted position. What are typical base salaries for someone with 4.5 ttl YOE? Does it matter that 3 YOE was in an adjacent industry?

Anyone in early stage biotech? I’m looking at a BD role for a well financed (~$150M runway) startup with some preclinical programs and a unique development platform. What are some key risks to consider when taking roles like this? I’m overly excited and want to make sure I’m asking the right questions before committing myself to this.

Spoke to hiring manager and they even offered another position which matched my skills. Scheduled a full panel interview. Met with the team had a great chat, Founder even said "I guess you can start right away"..Hiring manager calls later says they'll update then boom that generic email hits my inbox. At this point you're just like arrrrrrgh😩
