Parents are deciding between moving to WVirginia vs Virginia at retirement to be closer to us based in fairfax (ideally be at 1 hour driving distance). They currently in the mid west but WVirginia appeals to them because of low taxes, low cost of living. We are also poc so appreciate some diversity.

What are some areas you would recommend both in Va and WV? What else should they consider prior to house hunting? Dad likes to garden/farm as well so looking for homes with large backyards. Tia!

I went on a date last week and it went really well. We basically set up 2nd & 3rd dates that night. 2nd date's Friday for drinks and 3rd date is drag brunch. Lots of right wing hysteria about liberals trying to engineer equality of outcome to correct sexual/racial inequities (in higher ed, for example). I think we all want socioeconomic, gender and racial barriers to opportunities to be addressed, but no significant number of people really believe in equality of outcome right? This is just a straw man argument.

Hey guys, I just found this group and I’m hoping for some guidance/advice! I’m hoping to get into one of the Big 4s or MBB and finally got a few referrals once joining FB. I am 29, have an MA in IOP, and 10 YEO. I have never worked for a non-Jewish company (despite trying pretty damn hard to get out) and I’m freaking out. I have no concept of normal professionalism, strategy for navigating the workplace and the real world in corporate USA,(cont. in comment)

Yidden, I've been slowly drifting away from religion. It's odd because I used to be so connected, and I still retain the same values! Technology, however, has made religious ritual feel so lifeless, and I can barely muster the energies to maintain even a bare Jewish lifestyle. I become so sad when I see my friends becoming more connected, while I find myself gradually falling away 😞... HELP!
