Is it ever better to be an employee?

It seems like being an employee is a massive scam in every direction. Employees and employers both only care about money. So why would anyone entertain being an employee unless if they are scared or poor? I hope that I am wrong for thinking this way. I want to be challenged at this thought and feel comfortable with accepting a regular job. I don’t think regular jobs exist anymore.

Does anyone know the answer to this?

Sure it is. Look at all the Open AI employees and their $1 million sign on bonuses. Or all the Nvidia workers who became millionaires when the stock exploded. Would I rather be the owner/founder/CEO with a 10-figure net worth, instead of 7-figure? Of course. But starting a business comes with a lot of expense, risk and stress. If you can handle all of that and grind for years without making a profit until it takes off, more power to you. A lot of people aren't cut out for that and are happier just clocking in 5 days each week, and that's okay too. Different strokes for different folks, as they say.

What is the alternative? Having your own business? While that does sound great, it requires a ton of money, connections, time... I think many people stay employed because starting their own business can be quite difficult.

I accepted a 95k systems engineer role in VA with KBR and is currently going thru a clearance.(MAY START DATE)
Northrop offers me 92k w/ 3k sign on which is 30 min from home in MD for an associate systems role. They also want to give me a clearance but it will start as an interim so I can work sooner than may. MY DILEMMA: Kbr states that they know I need money now so I can accept an offer with Northrop to see if I like it until may.BUT can I have 2 security clearances running at the same time?
