If someone says, “I burned out, here’s what contributed to it, here’s what I’ve changed, and here’s what I’m actively looking for now so I can be sustainable,” that usually reads as self‑aware and honest. Where it can start to worry people is if the focus stays on how awful the last place was, how overwhelmed you still feel, or if there’s no clear plan for what will be different this time.

Need advice - I've been talking to a Partner contact at a big-4 firm where I REALLY want to work. She sent my info to the managing partner in my city, but I haven't heard anything for about 3 weeks. Been playing it cool because I know these things can take time, BUT, I just got let go from my current firm. I have til 12/15 to find a new job.

Do I tell her my timeline is now a month, or is telling them I'm getting fired going to tank my chances of getting the job?

This is probably an odd question, but i just found out that the professor who is teaching a tax class I’m in for school, is the Tax manager from a local firm who is assigned to our taxes as a company (I’ve worked with him regarding our taxes).

For pregnant women who have had prior pregnancies/losses but no living children, do you consider yourself a FTM? When people ask if this is your first, do you share that it’s not your first pregnancy? This is my third pregnancy and would be my first living child; it’s been on my mind as I head into the second tri (which is when I lost my last baby).
