Best office chair? My back is so angry with me.
Sweetgreen or Chopt?
@OP- thank you for the detailed explanation. I am being considered within Cyber DP; however, OTS really strikes my interest. Is this a conversation to have before an offer is extended? Could this have a negative impact to the recruiting process?
@OP- very cool! I have a call on Friday. I will send you an email after our call. Thanks and looking forward to speaking with you.
I’m not sure if I can receive direct messages on here so I made a ‘burner’ email address for those of you who are interested and would like to connect - fb.burner18@gmail.com.
@Deloitte1 - OTS is EY’s M&A consulting practice so our work is transaction focused i.e. buy-side or sell-side diligence, remediation roadmap, post-close integration planning, TSA considerations, Day 1 separation etc.
@Manager1 - excellent!
OP- why isn’t OTS pulling from the Cyber practice? Isn’t there a risk in brining this type of talent into OTS for potentially a short term need?
@SeniorConsultant1 - this isn’t a short-term need. OTS is expanding its cyber capabilities and building a deep bench so we can offer a complete suite of services while meeting the fast pace of the M&A space.
As you probably know, Advisory and OTS have some overlapping capabilities but OTS engagements are typically related to specific transactions e.g. an acquisition, divestiture or carve-out.
Therefore, we need resources that are familiar with the transaction lifecycle and cadence, understand overall business risks and have the technical knowledge needed to advise clients as they make integration decisions, remediate cybersecurity gaps identified during diligence etc.
@Accenture1 - we’ve exchanged a couple of emails already but wanted to acknowledge you on here as well.
Thanks guys and keep it coming!
@SeniorConsultant1 - Funny enough, the exact same thing happened to me except I already had an offer in hand from the recruiter and was in the middle of negotiating my comp when a former colleague and friend told me about the TAS role.
It worked out in the end but I’d try to figure it out sooner than later. If you’re a fit for our needs in OTS and you’d rather join our group then that’s your prerogative.
So if you’re more interested in OTS, send me an email with your background/profile including any certifications (resume would be most ideal) and I’ll get back to you on next steps.
Let me know and good luck either way!
@EY2 - that must be you I responded to. Thank you for reaching out.
@M2 I usually miss these notifications but luckily I had my phone in hand.
Feel free to email me - fb.burner18@gmail.com
So OTS is hiring cyber folks to work in OTS? Or are you hiring cyber guys for CT / CTM?
Joining soon!
M1- what area?
@PwC1 the former - we are hiring cyber folks in OTS to execute across the transaction lifecycle i.e. strategy, buy-side diligence, sell-side / PE portfolio review, sign-to-close and post-close integration/implementation.

Thanks OP! I’ll drop an email
Thanks, Sent an email OP.
@PwC1 - you should have a response from me.
@SeniorConsultant1 - sounds good and likewise!
