It looks like if you have not been working in an architecture firm before/after graduation, it may be difficult getting positions for internship, not to talk of becoming a licensed architect in Canada or US. How can one get this as years after graduation without experience is also a big issue?

Hello! I’m wondering if anybody has any advice in getting into HR? I graduated in 2020 with a degree in psychology and had a temporary internship in HR which didn’t teach me much. I’m a designer in the planning/landscape architecture dept. of a CE firm. Extremely frustrated that after 4+ years and multiple asks, I’m not getting the in-field construction experience I’ve asked for. I know that my designs could be better if I could see how things are actually built but I get slapped in the face with “I need you in the office designing/drafting” or “there’s no budget to have you go out” and then sends an intern to inspect instead. I’m 5 yrs out of college. Any advice?

Do you ever feel like there are rooms you’re locked out of? I’m a black woman, i lateraled to my group a few months ago with minimal onboarding and welcome. A white woman joined recently and everyone has bent over backwards to make her feel welcome and get her integrated into the group. HR opinion: Do I have any leverage as a hospital nurse case manager in negotiating earned time? I have 15 years within the organization, left for 10 months to be remote during the pandemic while sorting out childcare as immunocompromised family helped. So, my MS got caught as a subcontractor for one of my vendors and he was doing their work instead of the property's while clocked in I brought it to HR. we did a cease and desist despite my objections...MS ended up putting his two week notice during which he didnt work and spoke ill of me and my remaining staff to residents...today was his last day and with my regionals permission i told him that our vendor was not allowed to use him on our property due to the conflict. Do you agree?
