How's it like at Anomaly?
Toronto ad fish 🤠 I’ve spent most of my career working as a copywriter in London (6 years here, 2 years Toronto) and the market is pretty different here. I’m planning on moving back home but wondered….how do you find work in Toronto? Agencies barely post openings, is the recruiter scene strong? Is it mostly who you know?

Great creatives do not necessarily make great creative leaders. And this era of advertising is very unforgiving to those that find themselves promoted to senior management. 20 years ago you could get away with being mediocre at managing staff and clients but still knocking one or two things out of the park. Not so much anymore. Times are tough and your value needs to go beyond good creative in many agencies. Not saying this is right. But it is what it is.
