What is considered standard protocol when discussing project experience in interviews for other firms? How much am I allowed to talk about without getting in trouble?
How do companies usually get over (get used to) transitioning from home grown systems to cloud-native and SaaS solutions? Losing control of systems and ongoing cost (licensing cost can go up anytime) seems to be major mental blockers for my client
What do you miss about your job that can’t be done WFH? I miss 1) client and meetings with opposing counsel to discuss high-stakes transactions where everyone’s dressed to the nines and do “serious business”; 2) expensive lunches; 3) happy hours and 4) wearing my suits. None of that is coming back before 2021 (probably not only the meetings, but the transactions are going away too...) Glad I still have my job though.
Share your story, and why you’ve chosen to work with your firm or custodian here. So many BD’s force their clients onto expensive platforms. Raise awareness and help reduce client fees.
Sooo leadership just kinda dumped me at the client site 3 weeks ago and left? The daily calls keep getting cancelled and I can’t get a response by email. What the heck do I do?
As a parent and with teammates who are parents we have collectively decided to ban all morning meetings from starting until at least 9:30am on our project. I don’t know how people are supposed to function otherwise taking care of little kids and their physical needs early in the morning while trying to have a productive call discussion. I hope this cadence will spread across consulting now that we are all WFH and learn to balance our lives.

Recently laid off and on the job hunt. Feeling uninspired but want to create a side project that hopefully gets some press attention. How do I start? And how do (good) projects get press?
client asked and I wasn’t 100% sure. If married to a non-citizen can that non-citizen spouse be power of attorney, Inherit Estate, etc? She seemed to think her hubs couldn’t. Continued...

Need advice ASAP. Boutique firm offered a realllyyyyy subpar package ($50K less than current comp). I’m livid and am obviously declining it but want to send some choice words to the head of talent. I set clear expectations from the get go with everyone at firm and they quoted a range that they didn’t even end up coming close to! Thoughts?

Early 30s, have an MPH and am thinking about getting an MBA; however i need to work part time and am considering online given the current crisis, but not sure if it’s worth the investment, especially since MBA programs involve networking. Does it really make an impact on your earning potential?
